About This Collection Guide
This site focuses on the everyday details of preparing boxed products for organised collection days. It is written for people clearing a cupboard, sorting unused purchases or gathering useful household items to pass on.
Our guidance separates three decisions that are often confused: whether a product is suitable for reuse, whether a particular collection accepts it and how it should be packed. A neatly sealed box cannot make an unsuitable item acceptable, and recyclable packaging does not mean its contents belong in the same recycling stream.
We provide general preparation advice rather than collection bookings or local schedules. Use it alongside the organiser's instructions, especially for electrical goods, batteries, liquids and anything requiring special handling.
